It all starts with the travel. Up Next, Thailand.

To understand my artwork, I think of the powerful artist Edvard Munch saying, “Nature is not only all that is visible to the eye... it also includes the inner pictures of the soul”. This resonates to me as I’m not trying to capture what is there, but what I can see. And what I see hopefully has unique vision that is meaningful to the art world.

I come from humble beginnings. A small town in the mountains east of San Diego where my dad was THE law and I got into a lot of trouble! I spent endless days horseback riding through the mountains and exploring everywhere my faithful horse and legs would take me.

I am a third-generation architectural designer and started painting in oils as a young child and sculpting wood in my dad’s workshop through high school.  While in high school I also got my Art Degree.

I attended the Fashion Institute of Design Merchandising and fell in love with interior design and the idiom “God is in the details”.  I have been practicing residential and hospitality interior design for three decades. During this time, I created many custom furniture and art pieces for my clients, friends, and family.

I travel extensively through Asia, Europe, and the Americas to photograph nature in great detail. These travels have inspired my art as well as my interior design.
